To disable the 'What do you want to do next' screen in Internet Explorer v8:
1. Click <Tools> <Internet Options>
2. Select the 'General Tab'.
3. Click 'Settings' in the Tabs section:
4. Change the 'When a new tab is opened, open:' drop down list to 'Your first home page':
5. Click <OK> and click <OK> again to return to Internet Explorer.
New tabs will now open as your current home page.
